In 2020-2021, the hotel was extensively refurbished, renovated and restored and has shone in new splendour since its reopening in December 2021. The hotel has gained many amenities as a result of the renovation. However, certain modern elements - such as televisions in the rooms - have been deliberately omitted in order to preserve the historic character of the hotel.
