From the village of Sörenberg, the route takes you up to the Salwideli moorland paradise and into the beautiful biosphere nature. Here you are in the middle of a moorland landscape of national importance. Extraordinary animals live here, there are carnivorous plants and wildly romantic mountain pine forests. At Alp Salwiden you will find a few benches, ideal for enjoying a snack to go. Cycle up an alpine road to Blattenegg, where you can once again enjoy the fascinating view of the village of Sörenberg and the surrounding mountain world with the Brienzer Rothorn, Nünalpstock, Haglere and Schrattenfluh. The next section is relatively steep, so you may want to push your e-bike for a short while here. But don't worry, you can get back on the saddle in no time and whizz off to your well-earned lunch at the Alphotel Schwand.

Equipment
Good equipment including rain and heat protection and helmets are a matter of course. Repair and first aid kits are always included. Your bike is roadworthy and you have lights with you for dusk. E-bikes need daytime running lights on all public roads.
Directions & Parking facilities
The UNESCO Biosphere Entlebuch is located in the heart of Switzerland, centrally between Bern and Lucerne. You can reach Sörenberg via the main road 10 in the direction of Schüpfheim and from there to Flühli Sörenberg.
In summer, you can reach Söernberg via Sarnen - Giswil over the Glaubenbielen Pass.
A paid parking lot is available at the valley station of the cable car.
You can reach Sörenberg by public transport via Schüpfheim (Bern-Lucerne railroad line). From Schüpfheim, take the Postbus to Sörenberg "Post". Plan your journey with the SBB online timetable.

- Blattenegg steep passage in scree (possibly pushing passage)
- Do not miss the turn-off to the Alphotel Schwand (adjust your downhill speed)
