Grass skiing on the Marbachegg is much the same and yet so different from the winter original - there is no snow or sharp edges. And unlike snow skiers, grass skiers do not glide down the slope on narrow racing slats, but on rollers. Braking is not possible, you need the right technique. But don't worry, the experienced guides from the Grasskiclub Escholzmatt will show you how it's done. The Escholzmatt-Marbach Grass Ski Club has been promoting the sport of grass skiing with its training center on the Marbachegg for 40 years. In Stefan Portmann, the municipality of Escholzmatt-Marbach has a former grass ski world champion. Anyone can get to know the fascination of grass skiing by taking part in taster courses!
