Finsterwald pond
There is a lovely picnic area by this beautiful pond behind Finsterwald. It can comfortably accommodate 20 people and has a fire pit with barbecue grill. The biotope can be reached on foot from Finsterwald in the direction of Wissenenegg in about 20 minutes. Parking is available opposite the Finsterwald restaurant. At the Gfellen / Wissenenegg hiking trail junction, follow the path to Gfellen for a few meters. Then keep right to reach the somewhat hidden fireplace.

Anreise
The UNESCO Biosphere Entlebuch is located in the heart of Switzerland, centrally between Bern and Lucerne. You can reach Finsterwald via the main road 10 in the direction of Entlebuch and from there to Finsterwald (direction Glaubenberg). From Sarnen, drive over the Glaubenberg to Finsterwald.

A free parking lot is available in the village or at the Bohrplatte.
