Scenic, last stage of the Entlebuch-Emmental high route.

The last stage of the high route promises lots of views again. You hike on the ridge from Grosshorben. Upon arrival at Wachthubel, a break is worthwhile. The scenic benches enchant you with a fantastic view - the Hohgant seems within reach, but the Schrattenfluh and the Sichle also appear impressively large. The snow-covered Bernese Alps of course cannot be left unmentioned. After one last look and a souvenir photo, you now moderately descend to the stage destination Schangnau. Here you have richly earned a good meal after completing the high route. The Gasthof Löwen is located directly in the village. Or you take a short postbus ride and visit the world-famous country inn Kemmeriboden-Bad. However, check the opening hours beforehand and make a reservation.

Egghus Wiggen - Grosshorben: ascent 2 hours, descent 1 hour 40 minutes
Post Marbach - Wachthubel: ascent 2 hours, descent 1 hour 25 minutes

Good footwear, rain jacket & enough drinking water for the way belong to every hike.
