Peace and solitude amidst the Entlebuch biosphere reserve – that's what winter sports enthusiasts enjoy on the Salwideli cross-country ski trails. They lead through the moorland and offer beautiful views of the surrounding mountains Rothorn, Schrattenfluh, Tannhorn and Hohgant. 24 kilometers of top-prepared trails are available for classic and skating techniques.
The Zopfloipe Salwideli, about 6 km long, is ideal for beginners and advanced cross-country skiers and leads through the beautiful moorlands in the Salwiden area, which are among the most important and valuable in Switzerland.

The trail passes are available via the online shop, at the Kassahaus Salwideli, Bergwelten Salwideli, Sörenberg tourism office, Sörenberg mountain railways (valley stations Rossweid, Platz and Schönenboden), REKA holiday village or at Felder Sport.

Directions & Parking facilities
The UNESCO Entlebuch Biosphere Reserve is located in the heart of Switzerland, centrally between Bern and Lucerne. You can reach Sörenberg via main road 10 towards Schüpfheim, and from there to Flühli Sörenberg. Before Sörenberg, in the Südelhöhe area, turn right towards Salwideli, then follow the road to Berggasthaus Salwideli.
The panoramic road over the Glaubenbielen Pass is closed in winter!

A free parking lot is available at Bergwelten Salwideli.
You can reach Sörenberg by public transport via Schüpfheim (Bern-Lucerne train line). From Schüpfheim take the post bus to Sörenberg "Skilift Rischli." From there, from the end of December to early March, the Salwidelibus runs up to Salwideli four times daily. You can find the timetable and information here.

- Use only the marked trail and observe the signs.
- Behave considerately towards other trail users and the landscape.
- Carry additional sun protection. UV rays can be particularly strong at high altitudes in winter, even in cloudy weather.
- Weather conditions in the mountains can change very quickly and without warning. Appropriate clothing is very important.
