The village trail offers 8 kilometers of groomed trails (classic and skating). The starting points are located at the Sörenberg Platz parking lot and at the valley station of the Sörenberg - Brienzer Rothorn aerial cableway. The trail has few ascents and descents and is especially suitable for beginners.

At Salwideli, it is possible to rent cross-country ski equipment on weekends. Please register at the ticket office.
Directions & Parking facilities
The UNESCO Entlebuch Biosphere is located in the heart of Switzerland, centrally between Bern and Lucerne. You can reach Sörenberg via main road 10 towards Schüpfheim and from there to Flühli Sörenberg.
Note, in winter the Giswil-Sörenberg panoramic road is closed.

You can reach Sörenberg by public transport via Schüpfheim (Bern-Lucerne train line). From Schüpfheim, take the post bus to Sörenberg "Platz" or "Rothornbahn".

Combine your cross-country skiing trip with a detour on the new aerial cableway to the Brienzer Rothorn! Pedestrians can ride to the highest mountain in Lucerne all winter for only 15 francs and enjoy the view of 693 mountain peaks.
Safety guidelines
- Use only the marked trail and follow the signposts.
- Be considerate towards other trail users and the landscape.
- Carry additional sun protection. UV rays can be very strong at high altitudes, especially in winter, even in cloudy weather.
- The weather conditions in the mountains can change very quickly and without warning. Appropriate clothing is very important.
