On the fairy tale trail, you roam through the forest and listen to the adventures of Wurzilla, a little root child. Set out to find the dragon, which stands as a symbol of the healing powers strongly felt in nature.

The "Fairy Tale Trail Wurzilla" traces the path of the main character Wurzilla in the eponymous fairy tale book. Wurzilla is torn from the ground as a little root and on the following search for the dragon meets various creatures who assist her on her way with gifts and advice.

The Wurzilla fairy tale trail is especially aimed at families with children aged four to ten years. The circular route is about one and a half kilometers long and offers great opportunities for playing and lingering. For example, the oversized spider web, a huge wooden swing in the middle of the forest.

Shortly after the Hotel Kurhaus Heiligkreuz, the fairy tale trail leads into the forest. The first section of the 1.5km long circular trail runs through the forest. Shortly before you leave the forest via a small suspension bridge, you reach a small pond with a charming view of the pilgrimage site Heiligkreuz. Directly after the suspension bridge there is a nice barbecue area. Follow the path to the road and turn right. The road leads you back to the Kurhaus Heiligkreuz.

Dragon Friend – Smartphone Scavenger Hunt Family

Cleo the parrot needs help! His friend the dragon is sick. Only the fir tree Wurzilla knows what the dragon needs to get well again. Together with Cleo, set out to find Wurzilla. To find her and heal the dragon, all puzzles on the fairy tale trail must be solved. Equipped with the smartphone, you can start the adventure. The narration of the story and solution entry are done via your own smartphone. The clues are to be found in the form of original props and tricky puzzles in real life. The smartphone scavenger hunt family is perfect for families with children from 4 to 10 years old.

Shortly after the Hotel Kurhaus Heiligkreuz the fairytale trail leads into the forest. The first section of the 1.5 km circular trail leads through the forest. Shortly before you leave the forest via a short suspension bridge, you reach a small pond with an enchanting view of the Heiligkreuzplace of pilgrimage. On leaving the forest, follow the trail until you reach the road. Turn right here and follow the road, which takes you back to the Kurhaus Heiligkreuz.

The UNESCO Biosphere Entlebuch is located in the heart of Switzerland, centrally between Bern and Lucerne. You reach Heiligkreuz via main road 10 towards Hasle or Schüpfheim and from there to Heiligkreuz.

You can reach Heiligkreuz by public transport via Hasle (S 6 direction Langnau i.E.) or Schüpfheim (RE direction Bern). From Hasle or Schüpfheim, take the postal bus to Heiligkreuz (LU).
