With the gondola, you float up to the sunny terrace Marbachegg. Once at the top, a special view awaits – between Schibengütsch and Hohgant the view opens to the Bernese Alps with the Schreckhorn, Finsteraarhorn and Eiger. The trail starts directly at the mountain inn on Marbachegg and first passes some charming holiday homes to the holiday camp house. Here you can watch the skiers as they take the descent towards Marbach. You continue hiking straight ahead to Gassenegg where there are some resting benches where you can enjoy the silence and view of the surrounding mountains. Now it goes downhill where the trail first leads through open terrain and later along the forest edge to Unter Lochsitli. Here it goes back up past the reservoir lake to the Marbachegg mountain station.

Safety guidelines
Please observe the following points on the winter hiking trails:
Stay on the marked routes
Plan enough time and monitor the weather
Behave quietly; there is even a chance to see wildlife; observe animals from a respectful distance
Your dogs are also allowed to do winter sports with us, but must be on a leash
Take your rubbish home with your beautiful memories.
If nature sportspeople respect the space of the wildlife, fewer bans and restrictions are needed and the natural landscape remains open for real nature experiences. We ask for careful consideration and thank you for it!
