The route starts at the valley station of Sportbahnen Marbachegg. Here you first cross the road to Hotel Sporting, because behind it the trail first leads idylically along the Schonbach. After approx. 800 m under the bridge, then turn left after another 200 m. Here begins the ascent to Sidenmoos, where a sugar refinery stood until 100 years ago. Once at the top, you enjoy a wide view over the snow-covered “Marbacher Boden”. Then continue along the path. After a few meters, you cross the ski slope; caution is advised. After a short descent, you pass the "Schrattenschanze". Marbach is an important training center for nordic young athletes in Central Switzerland. The ski jump facility, which even has a drag lift, was opened in December 1991 and has been much used since. Then the trail leads further to the children's lift and back to the starting point.

Safety guidelines
Please observe the following points on the winter hiking trails:
- Stay on the marked routes
- Allow enough time and monitor the weather
- Behave calmly; there is even the possibility to see wildlife; observe animals from a respectful distance
- If you bring your dog, it must be on a leash
- Regarding waste: Take it home with your beautiful memories and leave only your footprints
If nature sport enthusiasts respect the space of wildlife, fewer prohibitions and restrictions are needed and the natural landscape remains open for genuine nature experiences. We ask for careful consideration and thank you!
